We could simplify our story by saying ‘it all started 25 years ago with Paulo’s weekend getaways’. But the truth is this story really started when Paulo and Eva felt Melides was waiting for them.
The land they own, their property and now this guest house, Rural tourismcame to them as if by destiny. Very similar to their initiative to rebuild houses in the center of Melides. The willingness to welcome guests was always present in each project, a reflection of their passion to gather and service people.
For whom conversations are like Alentejo bread, the food that warms the soul, creating a Rural tourism in the land that adopted them it was the project that the couple lacked.
À Espera comes from a long wait, as the result of a pandemic that asked the world to temporarily retire. There is no better metaphor for this project: à espera is a place of ‘retirement’ that tells us that now is always the right time.
À Espera was born just in time to reconnect: with ourselves, the silence and the sea.
the voice
the pillar of the house
Eva is the life and color of the house. She’s the energy, movement and warmth. A Espera is more of a baby, the result of a long detailed and passionate conception. Her creativity is reflected in every corner of the house.
À Espera is close to everything.
It will take you 10min to the heart of Melides and 10min to the beach. If you’re coming from Lisbon, you’ll be here in 1 hour. The right distance to free your mind from city life and connect with nature.
